Open source utility grid monitoring

Grip was a project in collaboration with Google X and the Department of Energy to develop an open-source platform that empowers utility providers with the capability to easily monitor and provide real-time data about the grid.

Working with software developers we developed a user experience plan and created a user interface to allow utility companies to monitor in real-time power surges and disruption to the grid from a web browser.
