The Lobster Lab is a new restaurant kiosk concept specializing in unique shellfish recipes. The concept for this restaurant was inspired by traditional open-air fish markets like the famous Fulton Fish Market in New York City and the Maine Avenue Fish Market in Washington D.C. where fishermen sell their fresh daily catch and also cook for you all in one place. The branding and restaurant design reflected this heritage with the use of hand lettered signage and menu boards to the choice of industrial surface materials that line the open air kitchen and seafood display. Playful patterns and jaunty brand tone helps update the traditional seafood kiosk to feel approachable amongst the cosmopolitan clientele. The success of the first Lobster Lab kiosk has lead to future expansion of the brand throughout major Asian cities.
