Cisco, a global technology leader, sought to introduce their new server blade to potential customers and interested buyers at global trade shows. The challenge was to design an engaging, autonomous, and cost-effective experience that displays the technology's complexity and capabilities without a sales representative's constant presence and without the actual server blade hardware.
Through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, we were able to deliver an interactive, cost-effective, and engaging solution for Cisco. This project demonstrates how collaboration between creative direction and technical experience can transform complex challenges into innovative solutions, that ultimately creates a captivating and unique yet informative learning experience for potential customers and industry stakeholders.
Design Approach
Keeping Cisco's requirements and budget in mind, we conceptualized a self-contained, jewel-case style kiosk. This interactive display aimed to capture the audience's attention and facilitate an engaging learning experience about the server blade's unique features and use-cases. The kiosk was designed to be minimalistic and modern, focusing on not distracting the user from the server blade within the device and the interactive software.
Along with a technical designer we developed custom software with an intuitive UI/UX to facilitate user interaction. This software empowered users to navigate through the blade's features, explore its use-cases, and learn about the innovative technology at their own pace. This unique challenge of creating an intuitive experience for a transparent display led to an immersive and memorable interaction that's not commonly encountered and invites people to engage with the display.
